Facing the grim situation of 2019-nCoV prevention and control, teachers and students from seven colleges and universities for the joint graduation project of transportation building used the Tencent meeting to start an online question on the afternoon of February 26th. The participate universities are: Southwest Jiaotong University, Chongqing Jiaotong University, East China Jiaotong University, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and Chang'an University.

The online opening speech was hosted by teacher Xuan Huang from Southwest Jiaotong University. Representatives from various schools gave speeches at the online meeting. Teacher Shi Jinsong explained the special joint teaching methods, methods, results, and timenodes, as well as carried out a preliminary introduction and analysis on the design topic. Dean Shen of Southwest Jiaotong University made a summary speech, hoping to promote the cooperation and exchanges between universities.

After the online opening speech, each university will organize graduation design activities according to the materials provided by Southwest Jiaotong University. The graduation project is still carried out according to the original schedule. Southwest Jiaotong University will provide online site information for students to download, like site status photos and videos. Meanwhile, Southwest Jiaotong University will further provide follow-up design materials and services for participant s, and share some excellent lectures and online resources in the WeChat group.
Due to 2019-nCoV, participating universities cann’t conduct field research. In order to promote participants to have a deeper understanding of site, the joint graduation design of the transportation building have used the information resources of online education, took advantage of online teaching, and relied on the online teaching platform to increase communication. On March 11, Southwest Jiaotong University will arrange students to conduct site survey and report. It is planned to conduct online mid-term evaluation and exchange on April 15th. Each school will select 2 groups of students for report exchange. It is expected that at the Southwest Jiaotong University in June, exchange activities such as joint final defense and exhibition will be held.
