On June 4th, more than 70 teachers and students from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, Chang'an University, Northwest University, and Lanzhou University of Technology gathered in Lanzhou. The final defense was held by Lanzhou University of Technology, the organizer, with the theme of "Seizing the Golden City - Lanzhou Yellow River". On the basis of systematically evaluating the development status of Yantan urban units and the characteristics of the planning base in Lanzhou City, taking the opportunity of the urban design of Gaotan area to introduce new concepts, new strategies and new connotations to achieve The high-quality construction of the Gaotan area will help the overall improvement of the Yantan urban unit. This activity is divided into three stages: question opening and on-site investigation (March 10-11), mid-term defense (April 21), and final defense report (June 4).
The defense meeting was presided over by Zhang Xinhong, Deputy Dean of the School of Design and Art of Lanzhou University of Technology. Professor Hou Quanhua, Dean of the School of Architecture, Chang'an University, delivered a speech. He expressed his gratitude to the teachers and students for their full efforts and joint efforts, and expressed the role of the joint project and the achievements achieved. It is affirmed, and it is expected that the Silk Road Urban and Rural Planning Professional Teaching Alliance will summarize and improve on the basis of the joint completion, adopt multi-path and multi-form to strengthen teaching exchanges, expand its influence, and jointly improve the teaching quality of urban and rural planning professional education in Northwest universities.
Four experts and scholars were specially invited: Hou Quanhua, Dean of the School of Architecture, Chang'an University, Luo Pingjia, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design, China University of Mining and Technology, Zhang Xinquan, Deputy Dean of Gansu Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute, and Chen Yuhu, Deputy Dean of Lanzhou Urban Planning and Design Institute Participation reviews. A total of 10 groups of students from the four schools reported the results of the graduation design that took 3 months to complete.
The review experts believe that the completion results of our school meet the requirements of the mission statement and achieve the expected results. The goal-oriented and problem-oriented integration, the results are logically rigorous, the system is complete, the thinking is clear, the concepts are novel, the strategies are rich, the design is in-depth, and the characteristics are clear. It will play a positive role in the construction of Gaotan Area in Lanzhou City.
This year, the Silk Road Joint Completion Group of Chang’an University is jointly guided by teachers Jing Xiaopeng and Guo Qiwei. The topic of Group A is Retracing the Golden Beach to Cultivate the Mountains and Rivers——Urban Design of the Gaotan Area on the South Bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou City Based on the Concept of Landscape City, including Lin Yuwen, Song Wenmei , Ye Qingyu, Yang Yuxuan, Zeng Weicheng, Huang Haifeng; the topic of group B is Nostalgia and Wisdom of Wild Goose Returning to Jincheng—Urban Design of Gaotan Area on the South Bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou, including Duan Xuesen, Yu Jiawei, Cao Mengqi, Yang Wenqian, Li Jie, and Lin Fan.
